Covid-19 Information Booklet
COVID-19 General information - Booklet translation in Maltese Sign Language
Interpreting of Conferences
Given the current Covid-19 situation, Deaf People Association Malta would like to inform its members and the Maltese Deaf community that all Covid-19 Press Conferences will be interpreted into Maltese Sign Language (LSM) thanks to the services of the Sign Language Interpreters provided by Aġenzija Sapport.
Interpreting for conferences by the Office of the Prime Minister will not be live streamed but videos will be shared on social media platforms. Interpretations will be more concise in order to make them easier to share on various social media platforms. LSM Council and Deaf Association have agreed that this is the best action to take following feedback received by numerous followers.
Considering that there is an agreement between the Maltese Sign Language Council and the Malta Deaf Association, CRPD find no objection on the way forward. Provided that such feedback was brought forward by the Deaf Community, Aġenzija Sapport will be providing the service accordingly. We would like to show our appreciation to Aġenzija Sapport and Sign Language Interpreters for their understanding and committments.
